Title I, Part A, Basic Programs
(L) A description of the actions the LEA will take to assist its low achieving schools identified under section 1116 as in need of improvement
(A) A description of high quality academic assessments, if any, that are in addition to...that the LEO and schools served under this part will use
"ii) to assist in diagnosis, teaching, and learning in the classroom in ways that best enable low-achieving children served under this part to meet State student achievement standards and do well in the local curriculum...
"(iv) to identify effectively students who may be at risk for reading failure or who are having difficulty reading, through the use of screening, diagnostic, and classroom based instructional reading assessments...
Title II, Part A, Teacher & Principal Quality
(2) REQUIRMENTS Such needs assessment shall be conducted with the involvement of teachers, including teachers participating in programs under Part A of Title I, an shall take into account the activities that need to be conducted in order to give teachers the means, including subject matter knowledge and teaching skills, and to give principals the instructional leadership skills to help teachers, to provide students with the opportunity to meet challenging State and local student academic achievement standards.
(2) A description of how the activities will have a substantial, measurable, and positive impact on student academic achievement and how the activities will be used as part of a broader strategy to eliminate the achievement gap that separates low-income and minority students from other students.
(9) A description of how the LEA will provide training to enable teachers to
(D) understand and use data and assessments to improve classroom practice and student learning
A description of the professional development activities that will be made available to teachers and principals under this subpart and how the local educational agency will ensure that the professional development needs of teachers and principals will be met using funds under this subpart.
Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education through Technology
(2) A description of the applicant's specific goals for using advanced technology to improve student academic achievement, aligned with challenging State academic content and student academic achievement standards.
(5) A description of the type and costs of technologies to be acquired under this subpart, including services, software, and digital curricula, and including specific provisions for interoperability among components of such technologies.

(11) A description of the process and accountability measures that the applicant will use to evaluate the extent to which activities funded under this subpart are effective in integrating technology into curricula and instruction, increasing the ability of teachers to teach, and enabling students to meet challenging State academic content and student academic achievement standards.
