Goals and Goal Setting

Our featured article this month, by Anne Conzemius, focuses on goals and how the process of goal-setting provides us with guidance, helps us prioritize, and keeps us accountable in a way that an externally imposed rule or directive cannot.

"Goals that reflect the passion and purpose that educators bring to their practice act as fulcrums that balance and reconcile the countervailing forces of the full spectrum of tension in our daily lives. Read on to find out how goal-setting can enrich both your personal and professional life."

QLD Survey Results Are In!

A total of 467 of QLD's subscribers kindly responded to the survey and the results are now in! Almost 1/3 of those responding are teachers and almost 40% of all respondents were from large school districts (10,000+ students).

There was very high and consistent interest in the areas of professional learning communities and leadership, curriculum and instruction, assessment and student performance, as well as accountability and data-driven improvement.
