About: Dr. Gwendolyn Lee

Dr. Gwendolyn Lee has over 32 years experience in secondary education. She currently serves as the Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Professional Development at Thornton Township High Schools in South Holland, Illinois.
Dr. Lee began her career as a high school social studies teacher at Thornridge High School. She has worked as a Dean of Students, Principal, and Associate Superintendent. Gwen was named Principal of the Year for the State of Illinois in 1998 and Administrator of the Year in 2003. Through her work with the National Staff Development Council and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Gwen has been exposed to the latest developments in the teaching profession. Before joining QLD Learning as a consultant she worked with the Hope Foundation as a facilitator for Small Learning Communities. She also served as a state trainer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Illinois Coalition for Systems Change and Technology Integration in the Schools. Since 1994 she has been the lead consultant for the Illinois Principals' Association Aspiring Principals program.
