Linda D’Acquisto has over 20 years experience in education. Before joining QLD, she was Director of Instruction for the Shorewood School District, providing leadership for curriculum and assessment initiatives, strategic planning, professional development, and program evaluation. She began her career as a classroom and special education teacher at the elementary and middle school levels. She worked as a school and public programs manager, developing curriculum and exhibit concepts for a start-up museum. Her recent work has been focused on aligning assessments, instructional practice, instructional materials, and reporting systems to state or national standards. She also co-developed an evaluation process that measures program effectiveness in relationship to desired student outcomes.

Linda is a skilled meeting facilitator able to use her experience and expertise to design effective sessions that successfully engage participants in problem-solving, goal-setting, or creative thinking to reach desired objectives. Through her most recent venture, Kid Curators®, Linda works with schools interested in creating student-designed museum exhibitions as a form of innovative curricular and instructional development. She has recently had her first book published, Learning on Display: Student-Created Museums That Build Understanding, ASCD, 2006. Ms. D'Acquisto has been an adjunct faculty member of Cardinal Stritch University and has developed courses on Alternative Assessment, Action Research, and various topical study groups. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Disabilities and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Linda resides in Middleton, Wisconsin.
