Dr. Gail Worrell's most recent educational practice has focused on developing, implementing and assessing a Professional Learning Community (PLC) in School District U-46 in Elgin, Illinois. Additional educational experiences span over 28 years and include "stints" as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, central office administrator, university associate professor and workshop and conference presenter. Gail's most recent presentation was at the NSDC Summer Conference on implementing Professional Learning Communities at the district and building levels. Along with her consulting work with QLD, Dr. Worrell is a consultant for the Consortium for Educational Change (CEC) focusing on training district and building staffs in looking at improvement of instruction along a continuum using the Charlotte Danielson & ETS Framework.
Dr. Worrell earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Politics from Luther College and her Master's Degree with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Northern Iowa. Gail's Doctorate was earned from the University of Missouri – St. Louis with an emphasis in Curriculum / Instruction and Leadership. Gail currently resides in Zion, Illinois.
