Dr. William Sommers is currently co-directing the Urban Leadership Academy, teaching doctoral students and is teaching administrator licensing courses at the University of Minnesota. He is also a Program Manager at the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory where he manages educational grants, and provides research and implementation strategies to educational sites in a five state area. Bill has a long list of published articles, has done consulting work, and has presented at conferences for over 15 years in schools and businesses. He has been on the Board of Trustees for the National Staff Development Council since 2003.
Dr. Sommers most recently received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota with a Major in Educational Policy and Administration and a Minor in Industrial Relations. He presently resides in the Austin, Texas area.
